I'm sorry to say this, but we have to prioritize all requests.
More than this, we are in the middle of development of a major Find my Font update and it's not so easy to go back, add a minor feature and deploy an intermediate release, so you may have to wait for 3-4 weeks.

Taking into account the nature of the issue it's not something to happen again tomorrow, therefore I suggest for now the following simple steps:
a) Make a manual copy of your FindMyFont.fst.bin and store it in a safe place
b) Take care to gracefully close Find my Font before restarting/updating your system (as a safety measure)

Trust me on that, the next release will be a so pleasant surprise that it will make you forget all about the destroyed FindMyFont.fst.bin file :)
